Firm History

/

Goetz & Eckland was founded in 2002 by Frederick Goetz and Deborah Eckland. The firm was unique in that it brought together Fredrick's practice (criminal defense, personal injury, civil rights) and Deborah's civil defense practice—practice groups that are not often seen at one firm. The idea has always been that our clients are better served by having lawyers who understand the other side.

In the ensuing years, the firm has grown along with its clients' successes. In 2010, Dan Singel and Alan King were made partners. Despite its growth, the firm remains small. There is a value to being small: We maintain better quality control over our services, and we are able to maintain close relationships with our clients.

Today, we are doing every day what we set out to do—to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients. We work closely with our client to make sure we understand how we can best help them. We are practical lawyers who heavily invest ourselves in the outcome of our clients' cases. We recognize that not every problem has the same solution. Some solutions require hard-nosed litigation, while other solutions require diplomacy to negotiate a compromise. Whatever the approach, our attorneys dedicate themselves to practicing with unwavering professionalism and integrity.
