Defense Practice

Goetz & Eckland’s insurance defense group represents insurers and their insureds in civil litigation.  We provide zealous representation for clients from the inception of the claim to the discovery process through trial and the appellate procedure.  Our lawyers have significant experience and the breadth of knowledge to handle the litigation of any substantive topic.

We routinely defend clients in a broad range of areas, such as personal injury, products liability, premises liability, employment, construction, daycare, defamation and agents and brokers.  We also regularly address and counsel insurance companies on coverage issues from reservations of rights to declaratory judgment actions and intervention in underlying litigation.

Our clients’ goals are our first priority.  We pride ourselves on timely and consistent communication with clients.  Whether by letter, e-mail, phone call or in person, we keep clients advised of developments and strategy decisions, so that clients never feel “left in the dark.”  We also strive to perform our clients’ work most efficiently and cost-effectively, always keeping a balance between the cost of the work and the exposure involved.
